The North American Travel Journalists Association has announced its 8th annual Conference and Marketplace will be from May 11th through May 14th in Reno-Tahoe. The NATJA Advisory Board elected to relocate the 2010 Conference to Reno-Tahoe to enhance the Conference's professional development program and expand the range of pre- and post-trips available for its media members. In announcing this change, Chief Executive Helen Hernandez noted, "Not only will this change enhance our program, but it will allow us to reduce costs for conferee members in this time of concern to maximize value and minimize costs."
NATJA's host hotel will be the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa which offers excellent accommodations and a wide range of delights including excellent restaurants and a first class spa. Conference speakers, seminars and events are shaping up to be the best ever. And outside the core conference, the Reno Tahoe area offers so many opportunities for stories and activities that both media and organization members will find this Conference especially enjoyable.
NATJA is preparing special Conference packages for its members. Details will be available on the website after Thanksgiving and will be emailed to all members.
