Hi Everyone! Visit Kitsap is excited to announce that we have a refreshed brand, new photos (request via email), new commercial, and new website!
Quick note about the new website: this is just Phase 1 of 3 and it’s not yet perfect because if we wait for perfection, then it’s too late.
Thank you to the people that have helped make this happen:
- Studebaker Design Co.
- Inspire Creative Co.
- JayRay
- Erinn J. Hale Photography
- Kevin Veatch
- And the community members who were in front of & behind the camera, created itineraries/shared their stories, and shared all the amazing wonderful content so far this year
These projects were made possible via ARPA funding, lodging tax funding from Kitsap County, City of Bremerton, and City of Poulsbo.
What’s next with the website? Phase II focuses on enhancing visitor engagement through the development of integrated itinerary maps (and more via Wander) and personalized recommendations using a back-end tag strategy, as well as audit accessibility. It includes the creation of a World Cup 2026 landing page with multilingual support, new Kitsap Peninsula National Water Trails website, and a stewardship landing page, all will be accompanied by a marketing campaign. Ongoing website management will include blog updates, event postings, and video embedding. Phase III will expand tech enablement with voice assistance and augmented reality within 2-5 years. These projects are funding dependent so here’s why it’s important to focus on enhancing the website that helps drives tourism to the natural side of the Puget Sound, the Kitsap Peninsula:
- 71% of consumers expect personalized interactions online and in-person
- By 2030, 1/3 of travelers will be Gen Z, a generation that is digital and mobile native
- We have currently served over 162K website visitors YTD who are seeking information about our towns and things to do
- There have been over 1.8 million trips to date to Kitsap
- Outdoor recreation is a leading driver (41.9%) for tourism making it essential to position Kitsap as a destination and basecamp for outdoor, nature, agritourism, and wellness lovers
An easy-to-find and navigate website with up-to-date information is essential for the visitor experience.
And because we are so excited about our brand refresh, updated library of visual assets, and new website, we’d love to share the love with a giveaway! Prize: 2 red Adirondack chairs from JayRay, 30-minute consultations with Studebaker Design Co. and Inspire Creative Co., and a Visit Kitsap mug!
