Arkansas State Parks invites media to a press event celebrating the dedication of the new playground and pump track at Lake Sylvia Recreation Area. Leadership from the Arkansas Department of Parks, Heritage, and Tourism (ADPHT), along with First Gentleman Bryan Sanders, will preside over the dedication ceremony, marking a significant milestone in efforts to enhance outdoor recreation opportunities within the Maumelle Pinnacles Conservation Area (MPCA).

The new amenities at Lake Sylvia reflect Arkansas’s commitment to providing quality outdoor experiences while supporting conservation and recreation efforts. This dedication is a step toward the long-term vision of the MPCA, a 55,000-acre area stretching from the Big Dam Bridge to Lake Sylvia. The ultimate goal is to develop an interconnected system of trails, campsites, and recreation facilities that balances environmental preservation with community enjoyment.
