Let’s Go There: Arkansas is ready for travel

By Travis Napper

From a business perspective, the global travel industry has been one of the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Fortunately, the attributes of The Natural State are ones that resonate in today’s environment. Arkansas is the perfect spot to take a road trip, explore outdoor spaces, view scenic landscapes and simply get away from it all – in 2020 we’ve come to call this social distancing.

Simply put, Arkansas is ready for travel, and we’ve gathered resources to help illustrate how our travel and hospitality industries are keeping visitors safe. To learn more, go to www.arkansas.com/arkansas-ready-travel

I am also proud to say that Arkansas Tourism has joined the U.S. Travel Association in a nationwide campaign called “Let’s Go There,” designed to rebuild the national travel industry. The goal is to reignite a sense of wanderlust and inspire Americans to plan their next adventure. When plans are made and anticipated, spirits are lifted and recovery will begin. The “Let’s Go There” initiative inspires Americans to do what is exciting, safe and productive: make plans to travel.

Arkansas’s participation is supporting a larger national media strategy, as well as utilizing earned media and owned channel activation efforts. We are working together, across sectors, to give Americans hope and remind them of the joy of anticipation, the benefits that come from planning for adventures ahead, and the excitement of exploring somewhere new. And of course, we hope the road to travelers’ “somewhere new” leads straight to The Natural State.
