“We are thrilled to have our first concert of the Summer Music Series this weekend at the Argenta Plaza,” said Erica Warden, North Little Rock CVB Director of Sales and Events. “We can’t wait to see the plaza come alive with music and fun.”
The event is free and open to the public thanks to sponsors including the North Little Rock CVB, the City of North Little Rock, First Orion Corp, Russell Chevrolet, North Little Rock Fit2Live, Custom XM, Argenta Downtown Council, Taggart Architects and AT&T Arkansas.
A Year & A Day is an original classic progressive rock band from Little Rock, Arkansas, that plays classic-style rock in the tradition of bands like Pink Floyd, Yes and Jefferson Starship.
“We don’t bite licks off other bands. We do our music the old-fashioned way, hammering out the sound one riff at a time,” the band says on their website.
The June 19 concert coincides with “Argenta Dogtown Throwdown”, during which Main Street will be closed for outdoor dining. Restaurants will be set up outside serving food and drinks. Patrons will be able to walk around with their drinks within the Argenta Outdoor Dining District boundaries, including Argenta Plaza.
Argenta Plaza Summer Music Series will be the third Saturdays of June, July and August and focus on different musical genres. The next installment will be Saturday, July 17, with performances by SYNRG and The Rodney Block Collective. Ten Penny Gypsy and The Gravel Yard will play on Saturday, August 21.
