LAKE OF THE OZARKS, MO – One of the Lake of the Ozarks‘ most popular fall festivals, the Olde Tyme Apple Festival, takes place throughout the town of Versailles, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1-2.
The Olde Tyme Apple Festival, which has been voted the best annual festival in Missouri by readers of Rural Missouri magazine, commemorates the traditional fall apple harvest in the Versailles area. Versailles’ picturesque downtown square will be lined with numerous food vendors selling sweet apple treats like apple dumplings, caramel apples and apple butter, as well as other favorite festival foods. Highlights of the festival weekend include a sock-hop, live music, a fiddlers’ contest, apple pie-baking contest, parade, classic car show, demolition derby, craft vendors, children’s fun zone and a golf tournament on Sunday.
