Happy New Year!
On behalf of our team, we hope you had wonderful, safe, and happy holidays. January 2nd arrived, and we opened our doors once again to welcome 2024. We have so much to look forward to this year, including the announcement of our awards competition winners which will come at the end of February. The judges are busy reviewing the entries, tabulating scores, and selecting the winners from nearly 700 entries.
I would like to thank Shelly Rivoli for her social media leadership from Twitter Tuesday to our now Wednesday Weekly Share. This opportunity to lift up our members’ work has been successful and only comes from a dedicated leader. Assuming the role beginning tomorrow is longtime member, Cindy Ladage. We are confident that Cindy will successfully continue this amazing work.
Our conference plans are in full swing, and we will be sending you updates as they are confirmed. Thank you to Visit Galveston team members Mary Beth Bassett, Shawna Reid, and Bryan Kunz who are preparing and confirming all of the activities as well as pre and post tours. Stay tuned…
If you are planning on coming to the conference, the preferred airport is Hobby Airport (HOU) and is the closest to Galveston Island. This airport is also a hub for Southwest Airlines, which always has specials so keep on the lookout for deals!
