NATJA Notes: Announcing the Winners of the Art Month Competition!

Greetings!

Here we are in May and can’t believe we are only 2 weeks away from the start of our annual conference in Galveston. Visit Galveston has created an itinerary full of island-time fun for us. Just a reminder for those not attending: Most of our professional development sessions will be available online for our membership at a later time – another NATJA member benefit!

Since we will be in Galveston on the 16th, we will have an abbreviated version of NATJA Notes. Don’t forget to follow us on social media using the hashtag #NATJAinGalveston for all the conference happenings!

April was Arts Month and we launched a competition for our members to submit photos or art inspired by travel. We received well over 35 entries, so we are instituting it as an annual event. The submissions were captivating which made it difficult to select just one winner. So, we have 3 winners – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place – plus honorable mentions. Congratulations to the winners and special thanks to all who took the time to submit!

I would like to congratulate my husband and NATJA’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Ben Root, on his graduation from Pepperdine University with his LLM degree in Mediation. It is a true testament that you’re never too old to learn or go back to school!

Lastly, Mother’s Day is in May in North America, so we wish all of the moms a joyous day.

Be safe and enjoy the beautiful month of May.

Warmly,
Helen
