Hello NATJA Family!
We are back from the amazing conference in Galveston! Thank you to the Visit Galveston and Moody Gardens teams for ensuring that our attendees had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed the beautiful property, fantastic food, and the variety of excursions. There were some weather challenges when we arrived, but that did not deter us from experiencing what makes Galveston so special, especially as the birthplace of Juneteenth!
Before the conference, we had an incredibly productive meeting with the Advisory Board, who selected the new Co-Chairs to lead the Board. Your new Media Co-Chair is Vanessa Orr and your new DMO Co-Chair is Gustavo Rivas-Solis from ENroute Communications. The Advisory Board consults with the staff on member-related matters. Special thank you to Troy Petenbrink for his role in bringing in Travel Guard as our Coffee Mixer sponsor and connecting us with Visit Richmond, who presented an incredible session on accessibility.
Now onward to Margaritaville Resort in Greater Palm Springs, June 2nd to 6th, 2025! This desert oasis has so much to offer: from downtown shopping, to the Living Desert, to Sunnylands – “the Camp David of the West,” to hiking in the beautiful Indian Canyons, and of course the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway that takes you from sea level to the mountain station at an elevation of over 8,500 feet! Our team is working on finalizing preliminary details, so stay tuned!
