Dear NATJA family,
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! This is the time of year when we not only celebrate the diversity of Latino cultures in the United States, but also acknowledge the contributions Latinos have made to the rich fabric of the US. From food, music, art, entertainment, sports, technology and so much more, Latino influence can be found in many aspects of life and culture across the United States. As a proud Latina, I encourage you to take a moment to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in whatever way works for you. Margaritas anyone?
In case you missed it, we have extended the membership drive to October 15th. You still have time to take advantage of the incentives being offered! For each qualifying new member you recruit, you can receive credit towards your dues or conference registration. See the details in the membership drive section below!
Have you submitted to the awards competition? We are in the final phase of the call for entries, which closes on October 31st. Make sure to get your entries in for consideration!
Lastly, but certainly not least, we will bid farewell to our Membership Director, Omar Rodriguez whose last day with NATJA is October 18th. We are grateful to him for his dedication and attention to providing a thoughtful membership experience. Thank you, Omar.
Have a wonderful Fall!
Warmly,
Helen
