Dr. Maria Rosario Jackson has worked towards creating healthy communities where all people, and especially historically marginalized communities, can thrive. During her nearly 30-year career, Dr. Jackson has worked in various sectors—higher education, philanthropy, government (federal, state, county and local) and nonprofit. Since 2017, she has held appointments in the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts as well as the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University. In addition, she is the director of the Studio for Creativity, Place and Equitable Communities (SCPEC) at ASU.
Paula Froke is editor of The Associated Press Stylebook and a manager with the AP’s headquarters Nerve Center. In her 35-plus years with the Associated Press, she has served as news editor in Minnesota and Michigan; deputy national editor at headquarters; assistant managing editor/nights on the Nerve Center; AP embedded editor at MSN News; and executive director of Associated Press Media Editors.
