WHAT: 2022 Art in the Park Festival

WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, June 4 & 5

WHERE: Stephens Lake Park in Columbia

Columbia, MO – Summer in Central Missouri gets off to an artful start with the 64th annual  Art in the Park Festival, June 4 and 5. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, this celebrated juried festival features more than 110 artists from across the country and attracts as many as 14,000 visitors each year, all spread throughout the blooming beauty of Columbia’s Stephens Lake Park.

Presented by the Columbia Art League, Art in the Park features a variety of mediums on display and for sale, including paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, textiles, fiber and much more. All art is handcrafted by the participating artisans. There will be a variety of food and drink vendors offering a wide selection refreshments interspersed around the park. Festival attendees also can enjoy entertainment from musicians, magicians, fire-jugglers, and stilt-walkers throughout the weekend.

Young artists can make their own masterpieces at the Kids’ Art Spot, visit the Young Collector’s Tent, have their faces painted or design a custom tie-dye shirt. And, admission is free – an early-summer gift for fans of art and fun, sponsored by the Columbia Art League. For more details on Art in the Park, visit columbiaartleague.org/artinthepark/home.
