Five free, public performances at Argenta Plaza coinciding with Argenta Dogtown Throwdown
After postponing due to inclement weather in April, Ballet Arkansas and North Little Rock Tourism are thrilled to announce the free public performances of Ballet Arkansas Presents Live at the Plaza: Culture in Community have been rescheduled for September 6 – September 10, 2023, at Argenta Plaza, 510 Main Street in North Little Rock.
“Performing for our community at the Argenta Plaza is one of our favorite programs of the year. These five public performances are the kick off to Ballet Arkansas’s 45th Anniversary season and we could not envision a better way to launch the 23/24 season than with free performances for our community with a long-standing partner and supporter of the arts, North Little Rock Tourism,” says Catherine Fothergill, Associate Artistic Director. “We hope the community will carve out time on September 6-10th to come to the beautiful Argenta Plaza, explore the Argenta Arts District, and watch Ballet Arkansas take the stage for the first time this year!”
Sponsored by North Little Rock Tourism and the City of North Little Rock. Ballet Arkansas Presents Live at the Plaza performances includes works of classical and contemporary dance by world-renowned choreographers and make use of the stage, water features and open spaces in Argenta Plaza.
“Though we were disappointed to have to postpone the spring performances, fall brings its own magic in downtown North Little Rock. With Argenta Dogtown Throwdown the same weekend, we hope people will enjoy all the creative energy of Ballet Arkansas, live music and outdoor dining,” said Erica Warden, Director of Tourism Market Development. “We are grateful for our partner, Ballet Arkansas, who has carefully put together a reimagined, entertaining fall program that all ages will enjoy.”
