4th of July
Did you know that the Fourth of July is one of the oldest federal holidays? Although the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4th, 1776, the date didn’t become a federal holiday until June 28th, 1870! USA vs Romania in rugby at SeatGeek Stadium
In 1924, the United States and Romania played each other in the Paris Olympic Games, and this year marks the 100th anniversary – but you won’t have to travel all the way to France this time! On July 5th, you can watch the USA Rugby national team play the AEG Rugby Romanian team in a historic match up at SeatGeek Stadium. There will be post-match fireworks as well. Koalas arrive at the zoo
Brookfield Zoo Chicago has some new furry friends to meet – koalas! As the first koalas to call the Zoo home in its 90-year history, their arrival is an important part of Brookfield Zoo Chicago’s continued commitment to species conservation and environmental education. The two male koalas, Brumby and Willum, can be seen in their enclosure now. Get your tickets today!
