Free, public event with live music and food trucks
NORTH LITTLE ROCK (Tuesday, August 9, 2022) – The Argenta Downtown Council and the North Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau will host Argenta Vibe Music Series featuring Memphis soul gospel singer Elizabeth King at Argenta Plaza at 510 Main Street in North Little Rock on Friday, August 26, 2022, at 7 p.m.
Food trucks and Flyway Brewing will be set up at Argenta Plaza at 5:30 p.m. with live music by Elizabeth King at 7 p.m. Limited seating available; attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. No outside alcohol or coolers will be permitted. Only drinks purchased from restaurants and bars within the Argenta Outdoor Dining District will be allowed. Series sponsors include the City of North Little Rock, Tito’s Vodka, the North Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau, Centennial Bank, 107 Liquor, Dogtowne Dry Goods, Flyway Brewing and ACANSA Arts Festival of the South.

About Elizabeth King
Elizabeth King is set to release a new collection of sacred soul recordings each more fiery than the last entitled I Got a Love out June 24 on Bible & Tire Recording Co. (an imprint of Fat Possum). The album was produced by Bible & Tire founder Bruce Watson and backed by his Sacred Soul Sound Section led by guitar aficionado Will Sexton. Elizabeth King recorded her first single in 1970, and if all had gone as planned, she would have made her first album a few years later. Instead, it took another half century, for King to release her 2021 album Living In The Last Days, which captured King at the height of her powers, with the intervening decades only serving to stoke the flames of one of the most memorable voices in modern gospel music.
