Three weekends of music, fun and outdoor dining
NORTH LITTLE ROCK (June 2, 2021) – To provide free entertainment to the local community and highlight local talent, the North Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (North Little Rock CVB) will host a free monthly Summer Music Series June – August 2021 at Argenta Plaza at 510 Main Street in North Little Rock. The event is free and open to the public thanks to sponsors including the North Little Rock CVB, the City of North Little Rock, First Orion Corp, Russell Chevrolet, North Little Rock Fit2Live, Custom XM, Argenta Downtown Council, Taggart Architects and AT&T Arkansas.
“Our goal is to have regular events at Argenta Plaza that will bring in locals and visitors to North Little Rock,” said Erica Warden, North Little Rock CVB Director of Sales and Events. “We want our visitors to have an exciting weekend filled with fun activities and good food.”
Argenta Plaza Summer Music Series will be every third Saturday in June, July and August with an opening performance at 5 p.m. and headliner at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and are encouraged to bring food and drinks from Argenta restaurants. Ample free parking is available throughout downtown North Little Rock.

- Josh Stewart (Duo): 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- A Year & A Day: 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 17
- SYNRG (Trio): 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- The Rodney Block Collective: 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, August 21
- Ten Penny Gypsy (Trio): 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- The Gravel Yard: 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
“We wanted to offer a variety of musical genres as well as show off some of our well-loved Arkansas musicians,” Warden said. “A Year & A Day is a classic-style rock; The Rodney Block Collective is a quartet that plays a variety, and The Gravel Yard is more of a bluegrass.”
The Argenta Plaza Summer Music Series kicks off June 19 with the local band, A Year & A Day, known for classic-style rock in the tradition of bands like Pink Floyd, Yes and Jefferson Starship. The June concert also coincides with outdoor dining on Main Street and other third weekend in Argenta events. Completed in late 2019, Argenta Plaza is a community space owned by the City of North Little Rock and managed by the North Little Rock CVB that has been the catalyst for more than $50 million in economic development in downtown North Little Rock. Argenta Plaza is open to the public but can also be booked for private events through the North Little Rock CVB.
