I’m a graduate of Reed College with a degree in Philosophy of Religion.  Following college I wrote 12 picture books and one Young Adult novel with major American publishers, most reprtinted internationalliy.  International Schools all over the world began inviting me to read from my work and most of my career has consisted of traveling the world, reading from my books, teaching writing.  I also founded, directed, and tautht at a writing school for fifteen years, the Oregon Coast Children Books Writers Workshop.  My wife and I moved to Hong Kong in 2016.  Together we wrote restaurant (and hotel) reviews there for its preeminent food magazine, FoodieHK.  We returned and began writing for Northwest Travel & Life, a magazine with a subscription base of over 250,000 people.  We have published eight articles for them and have another eight for future publication.  We also publish travel articles with the Tillamook County Pioneer, an online newspaper which receives 4,000,000 unique visits per month.
